Exercise my stomach

I always believe that sports is a good way to release stress. There are a lot of Sports Venue in Manchester. Whether it's watching world class athletes or taking part yourself, this is where the action happens.

1. Manchester Aquatics Centre
One of the biggest and best swimming facilities in the country. It was purpose built for the 2002 Manchester Commonwealth Games and is the only centre in the UK to have two 50-metre swimming pools under one roof! If that is not impressive enough the centre also boasts a diving pool with varying depths, fun pool with slides, sauna and steam room plus many other mixed leisure facilities. You can take advantage of a variety of membership options for both the pool and fitness suite, or if you don’t plan on being a regular user then you can always pay-as-you-go. You can also sign up for swimming lessons, whether you want to learn to swim or improve your stroke technique we have a range of lessons designed for swimmers of all abilities.

2. UK Bungee Club
Salford Quays is home to the UK Bungee Club on a regular basis with an excellent jump site; the bungee jump takes place right at the waters edge with the bungee jumpers jumping out over the water and is the perfect day out for family and friends. The Water sports Centre is very easy to get to, located close to The Lowry Arts Centre and Lowry Outlet Mall. The UK Bungee Club has also teamed up with The Quay House, Beefeater providing food, drink and car parking.

When you arrive at the location you will register and complete a registration form. You will then be weighed and allocated the appropriate jump chord before entering the jump site. Here you will be harnessed by our professional jump crew where a number of double checks take place of your weight, jump chord selection and waist harness. Once in the hot seat with your ankle harnesses fitted you will be passed to the jumpmaster who will double check everything again before taking you up in the jump cage and talking you through your jump.

Once at the top you will hear the famous countdown “3, 2, 1, bungee” and then……..it’s up to you! Ahhhhhh.....!
